We went to an acoustic session in Oxfam Books on Hood Street in Newcastle last night. They hold a half-hour mini session at 5.30 on the last Saturday night of the month, and are well worth going to for the yummy (vegan) cake alone. Last night's offerings included gin and violet cupcakes, rum jam tarts, and a delectable cherry-and-almond-rich bakewell tart. And the music was nice too. I forgot to take the camera, or there would be photos to back up my claims of fabulous cake. Sorry.
I have been making again...

these are rather large pots. They were made from the same template then separated, so they are sort of Siamese Pots. I lined the interior with a hefty combo of ramie fibres, tussah silk and blue faced leicester top, so when they dry they will be wonderfully lustrous and soft.

Here is Meg to show their actual size.

It is a lovely day here, I hope you are all going to make time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine!
Hi, the pots look great! Thanks for your comment. I am OK just been really busy lately. Posted now though! Hows things with you?
ReplyDeleteThese pots are really neat! I love felted goods. I love the colors and texture. But, I have never seen anything like these before! I guess I am used to seeing felted balls, and purses, and things like that. i am excited to see your craft and keep up with your blog!
