Commission Complete

I haven't put anything up for a few days for a couple of reasons. I put my back out the other day, and anyone who has tried to make felt with a sore back will tell you that it simply is not possible. It's surprisingly frustrating not being able to do what I love because of my own body, but it got better and I got on...

...and completed my latest commission for a lovely lady who has ordered things for me in the past. This tea cosy is for her mum's birthday, and I hope she likes it.

Apart from that, university has been demanding a bit more of my time, and will continue to pile work on me for the next few weeks, but I shall endeavour to keep updating as and when I find/do something exciting. Here is what my lecture walk looked like today; snow with sun!

  1. Sorry to hear about your back but well done for getting on with it. I am sure that the lucky lady will love the tea cosy. How could she not, it's lovely. Good luck with uni stuff, remember to keep getting out for walks.

  3. Hello Cat :)

Thanks for your very kind comment.

I love your tea-cosy, heaven only knows it's cold enough in Northumberland at the moment to need one! I love your pictures of Allen Banks, it was one of the first places that Mr. VP and I ever ventured to, and we fell quite instantly in love. I have been there many times since, usually either in freezing conditions (the last time it was a couple of inches deep in snow!) or beautiful, wet Autumn ones :)

I love your lino-prints, too. I am a lino person myself, it is my favourite artistic medium after 35mm photography. I keep meaning to pop into Lush and say "hi" but the last two times I was in Newcastle I was preoccupied. If you see a stranger eyeing you up, it'll be me trying to work out which one is you and how to broach the subject of "hello!" :)
